Dr. Habineza’s smear campaign has begun. And its debut in the Taarifa publication is most worrying :
Soon he may loose his seat in parliament and face eviction from the party he started and fought tooth and nail for, losing a friend ( Andrew Rwisereka) and countless colleagues to it, dealing with marginalization and threats. Some analysts fear he may even be risking imprisonment if the divisiveness accusation is deemed “genocide ideology “.
Habineza is a target for character assassination for endorsing the idea of dialogue between the government of Rwanda and its exiled “opposition”, something that clearly is not on the it’s agenda.
Dr. Habineza was the only MP acting like one in Rwanda’s parliament. Here is hoping he will not be unceremoniously terminated like many before him.
